About Us
Archway Pictures was formed in 1999 by Daniel Keith. His first few screenplays were reviewed and optioned by studios but never made. His first short film, Mazer World, premiered at the London Raindance Film Festival and won. In 2001, Daniel took home three awards for best writer, director, and producer from Worldfest Houston. In 2005, a tv show about scuba diving was optioned by networks in five countries. Unfortunately, that same year, Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Caribbean with a category 5 storm.
By 2013, a concept for a feature film, called Rambler, was produced as a short film and took home over a dozen international film festival awards including best actor, best director, and best film. It was also one of the first films to be selected by the XBOX digital channel to stream. By 2018, Archway Pictures largest production yet, Love in Kilnerry, is finishing post production (edited by John Wilson - Downton Abbey, Billy Elliott). To date, Archway Pictures has won over two dozen international film awards, has films in distribution, and several feature films in development and production in multiple countries around the world.
Daniel Keith, Founder
Daniel pursued his degree in Liberal Arts at the University of North Texas before moving to New York and studying acting anddirecting at Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Circle in the Square Theater School, and Atlantic Theater Company. He continues to study directing and writing with the Columbia MFA Grad professor, Jon Shear and acting with Royal Shakespeare Company Alumni, Sybil Lines. John D Schofield (prod. Jerry Maguire, As Good As It Gets, etc.) requested to produce his secondscreenplay, When Hearts Run Wild. A scuba diving show, HD Undersea, was optioned by five networks internationally and latera series about wine. In 2013, his short film, Rambler, won a dozen film awards and was later developed into a 10-episode series. Two of his plays, Love in Kilnerry and The Breaking Room, were workshopped at Manhattan Theater Club studios in NYC. Hewas accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts summer residency in London two years in a row. In 2021, he completedhis first feature film, Love in Kilnerry, ($1.2 million) that he wrote, produced, directed, and stared in. The film won 45 international film awards and 26 nominations. International distribution is currently in negotiations. Daniel’s productioncompany, Archway Pictures, has won over two dozen awards for Best Picture. Daniel also consults other filmmakers in storystructure, financing, and producing. He has also starred in shows like ; Luke Cage (MARVEL), Person of Interest (CBS),Blacklist (NBC), and Blindspot (NBC). In 2021, he signed on to produce, write, and direct a $10 million period feature, Project “Gypsy Light”, scheduled to shoot in early 2022 in England.
Daniel has won 27 awards and 21 nominations in writing, directing, and acting from international film festivals, including a nomination for the prestigious Chris Brinker Award for Directing at the San Diego Intl Film Festival.
